Hello GA NIGP!
The GA NIGP Board was busy right up to Stuffed Turkey Day. I'm excited to share the following developments:
We were able to EXTEND the 2025 Winter Event registration deadline! With the event on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 2-4 PM at the Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort in Stone Mountain, GA, the absolute last day you will be able to register will be Friday, December 5, 2025, unless we run out of spots earlier. Register early so you can get your spot and join us for food, fun, and festive cheer! We are going to discuss all things Chapter-related: elections (2 next year!!), bylaws, committees, ways to improve the Webmaster's emails!!
Speaking of improving my emails, there have been some website updates you should check out!

- Call to Volunteer page updated to reflect current vacancies.
- SPOTLIGHT YOU page has been updated with our first ever SPOTLIGHT: MS. Toni OWENS!
While you are checking out the updates and registering for the 2025 Winter Event, go take a look at the Awards & Recognition page! Applications are being accepted through Friday, December 5, 2025 COB for the following:
- Manager of the Year;
- Buyer of the Year;
- Outstanding Service of the Year;
- Scholarship; and/or
- Grant!
Your GA NIGP elves have been working hard! Go check out your GA NIGP account for more information. While you are there, register for the 2025 Winter Event and come be merry with GA NIGP elves! Ditch the kids (but get a sitter depending on age!), bring the +1s (or not!), have an adult gathering (as a mom, WHAT EVEN IS THAT?), and then go do something for you! I mean, help your household elves! Members who register and come can even leave with a little something something that is rectangular and plastic and makes you think of "money, honey"! Our gift to our members, but only if you register and come!
Also, while you are on the website, look at what you need to do to apply for an award or scholarship! You only win if you apply! Toot your own horn, brag on your yourself, and apply for one or all!
