State Purchasing, a division of the Georgia Department of Administrative Services, is leading the Procurement Transformation Initiative in Georgia. This program was launched as a result of recommendations made by Governor Perdue’s Commission for a New Georgia in 2005. The goal of this process is to analyze carefully the State’s purchasing practices to ensure that the State’s purchasing power is maximized. The State has contracted with A.T. Kearney, a consulting firm, to assist with this process.Use this link for more information and updates about this project.

LEADERSHIP
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT - Sue Franklin
I believe there are four characteristics of effective leaders which I consider foundational. They are not traits which you are either born with or not. Neither are they attributes that you might acquire by learning more about them. I believethese essential leader characteristics are CHOICES that we make. Exemplary leaders are passionate, authentic, credible, and ethical.
