Governor Sonny Perdue proclaimed March 2010 as National Purchasing Month in Georgia on February 17, 2010. Rhonda Bollen-President, Donna Kindon-EXPO CO Chair, Avon Thompson-Vice President, Nancy Lam-Conference Education Chair, Lisa Mehalko-Public Relations, and Sue Franklin-Past President, represented GA Chapter of NIGP at the Capitol for the signing of the proclamation. 

National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) promotes Purchasing Month and the importance of the profession and recognizes its contributions.   

Purchasing professionals, through their combined purchasing power, spend billions of dollars every year. This spending has a significant influence upon economic conditions throughout the world.
